Features
These programs contain highly realistic simulations of electrical
equipment for the user to practice troubleshooting. Here the user can
perform most activities they would perform on actual equipment such as
taking meter readings, opening connections and replacing components.
While troubleshooting, the programs evaluate and track the user's
results and process. The programs also contain a section where an
expert guides the user through a systematic troubleshooting approach.

The Student
Edition is for use by one person only, and is most appropriate
for an individual who has a limited budget or a limited amount of
time to use the software.
The Expert
Edition is
also for use by one person
only, and is most appropriate for an individual who wants more
hands-on practice troubleshooting faults. This edition is an ideal
tool for maintaining troubleshooting skills as it includes
approximately 50% more faults than the Student Edition.
The Business
Edition is for use on
standalone PCs and offers unlimited enrollment, which means that
any number of people can use the software. It is most appropriate
for small groups of users where minimal monitoring is required.
Users have access to the complete fault set, and can print out a
progress report as well as a certificate of completion. (The
Course management software and Instructor resources are NOT
available with this edition)
The
Enterprise
Edition has all the
features of the Business Edition but can also be installed on a
server and accessed through a LAN. It is priced per concurrent
user or per standalone PC. This edition includes an Instructor
Guide for each program and the Simutech Course Manager. It is most
appropriate for where an instructor or supervisor will monitor and
manage the users' progress, such as in a classroom environment.
Student accounts can be managed, several types of reports and can
be either exported or printed, and several course options can be
modified through the course management software.
