| The Bearing Expert is a modular PC
based interchange and vibration frequency database.
This unique PC driven
software tool compliments in-house maintenance, engineering, and vibration
analysis tasks by providing immediate access to bearing, oil seal, and vibration
data for all current and past manufacturers of these products.
This product is
the result of years of research and experience by engineering and MRO
professionals like you. The tool is designed from the user perspective and is
quick, easy to use, and brings significant immediate cost savings to the plant
environment. |
| Interchange Process: Users typically have
incomplete bearing information. By entering information about a part including:
part number, bearing dimensions, or manufacturer and type of bearing, The
Bearing Expert will then produce the most complete interchange or cross
reference report for that part.
The report includes current and past
manufacturers worldwide that make or have made that part along with the
respective manufacturers part numbers and special comments related to the
interchange. AFBMA part numbers are also included in the interchange.
The report may be viewed on the screen or printed
out for inclusion in a work order, quote request or other similar needs. |

Frequency Report. It is the only product that can produce multiple frequencies
with one request and is the largest vibration frequency database available
worldwide.
The Multiple Manufacturer Vibration Report is
generated from the same initial request for interchange data and requires no
additional steps. The frequencies are calculated at the RPM (Revolutions per
Minute) or CPS (Cycles per Second) value the user specifies. |

also features the Harmonics Report.
The user may select the number of
times they would like to have the frequencies calculated for each report. The
default is for 10x's Harmonics.

New features for the Bearing Expert include:
Prefix and Suffix Descriptions:
Users have difficulty identifying the root
bearing from the prefix and suffixes that are attached to the part number. These
letter/number combinations can mean anything from a simple packaging designation
to an important dimension change for a bearing. Prefix and Suffix descriptions
siphon out the extraneous from the important information while saving time and
providing better assurance for future decision making related to part and
replacement.
Diagrams: The
Bearing Expert has recently added line drawings to the bearing database. The
purpose of these diagrams is to provide a general overview of the design of
various types of bearings and to assist the user in design, procurement and
decision-making.
Variable Contact Angle:
Recalculates the vibration frequencies
immediately by changing the degree of contact angle. Once a bearing is placed
into an application, the degree of contact angle changes based upon thrust load.
TBE will generate the report at the manufacturer default of 0 degree of contact
angle.
The user can now modify that angle based upon the
application.
