the Weld Replica Kit. Developed originally by Caterpillar for
internal use, the kit contains permanently mounted in a 10-1/2" x 13-1/2"
durable, yet lightweight, carrying case twelve full-size, three-dimensional,
cross sections depicting acceptable ("GO") and unacceptable ("NO GO") welds. |

Examples of common defects include: undercut, tie-in, porosity, lack of
fusion, and over/under fillet size. These welds have been reproduced through
an injection molding process in long lasting, sturdy plastic to withstand
the rigors of a shop environment or classroom handling. The welds will
not rust and the kit is guaranteed to last a lifetime. |
