a      A new non-profit organization has been founded in Indonesia to help instill excellence in maintenance and reliability professionals in that country. The Indonesian Reliability and Maintenance Engineering Community (IRMEC) is open for all people from all education levels who are involved with or have an interest in reliability, maintainability, quality and productivity improvement.

     The organization is currently under partial sponsorship by the Indonesian design engineering and manufacturing consultant PT Devatech Indonesia. However, they are actively seeking to establish networking connections with national and international sources, including educational institutions, consulting companies, software vendors, and other related organizations.
     We know a lot of our Maintenance Resources Colleagues are consultants and/or suppliers of products and services to the maintenance and reliability marketplace. We encourage you to make the IRMEC aware of your products and/or services and to support this new organization in whatever way you can.
The IRMEC's stated mission is to:
1 . Facilitate information exchange through a structured network of national and international reliability, maintenance and quality professionals.
2. Support maintenance and reliability as an integral part of business management in Indonesia.
3. Present a collective voice on maintenance, reliability, and quality issues and to advance innovative, maintenance, reliability and quality practices in Indonesia.
4. Promote and support maintenance and reliability education in Indonesia.
