Meridium CEO to Outline Asset Performance Management
Framework at NPRA Annual Meeting
Bonz Hart to Speak on Industry’s Latest Technology
and Management Approach for Improving Reliability
Roanoke, Virginia – March 24, 2003 – Meridium,
the leader in asset performance management solutions, today
announced that its President and CEO, Bonz Hart, will present
at this week’s National Petroleum and Refinery Association
(NPRA) Annual Meeting. Hart will outline the emerging trend
of asset performance management (APM) as a way for process
industry executives to meet growing demands for production,
cost savings and accountability. Hart will join leaders
from AspenTech, Cisco Systems and OSIsoft on today’s
technical panel titled, “Extracting Value from Information.”
The NPRA Annual Meeting, being held this week in San Antonio,
attracts nearly 2,000 key executives and technical experts
from petroleum and refining organizations worldwide. The
event provides a forum for industry leaders to learn and
share the latest management, technical and public policy
issues. Other speakers at the 2003 NPRA event include George
H.W. Bush and petroleum industry officials from Saudi Arabia.
“Reliability continues to be the mantra of executives
seeking to improve safety, profitability and production
output,” said Bonz Hart, Meridium Founder, President
and CEO. “The NPRA Annual Meeting is the industry’s
best venue to discuss how to achieve these corporate objectives.
Asset Performance Management is the new management and technical
strategy to not only improve reliability, but also corporate
performance. This will no doubt be a key issue discussed
throughout this event.”
According to Hart, APM provides a new framework for defining,
executing, evaluating and updating business processes that
improve enterprisewide asset performance and, ultimately,
reliability. It is one of the most effective means for a
company to provide value to its shareholders by ensuring
the highest return on net assets.
